So forget roses and chocolates this year, and craft your significant other a deluxe grilled cheese sandwich from the heart! Throughout the year, in celebration of the major holidays, we’ll be bringing you brand-new recipes in the form of holiday-themed grilled cheese sandwiches! First up: Valentine’s Day! Take a look at our signature His and Hers Grilled Cheese Recipes below, or scroll to the bottom for more grilled cheese and Valentine’s Day inspiration! Featured Grilled Cheese: For Him Brisket Grilled Cheese -or- Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese Brisket Grilled Cheese A grill-master’s delight! If your man could eat barbecue for every meal of the day—and at any time of year—then this is the perfect recipe for him! Start with your favorite barbecue brisket recipe (leftovers work great for this!), layer it between two slices of Martin’s Potato Bread along with a generous helping of shredded cheddar cheese, then grill until the cheese is melted and the flavors have melded together. Serve and enjoy! Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese His favorite game-day dip meets the classic sandwich comfort. To make: combine shredded rotisserie chicken, homemade buffalo sauce, shredded Monterey Jack cheese, and blue cheese crumbles; then layer the mixture between two slices of buttered Martin’s Old-Fashioned Real Butter Bread and pan-fry until golden brown. (P.S., you may need a few extra napkins with this one, but, hey, sometimes love is messy!) Featured Grilled Cheese: For Her Blackberry -or- Strawberry Compote Grilled Cheese Berry Grilled Cheese (Two Ways) Forget chocolate-covered strawberries! This fruity berry and fontina cheese combo is the way to a girl’s heart! Start by preparing a simple berry compote using either blackberries or hulled strawberries (frozen fruit makes this step a breeze, but you can experiment using fresh fruit as well), add sugar and bring to a boil, then simmer for 5-10 minutes until the compote begins to thicken. After the compote has cooled slightly, sandwich it in between two slices of fontina cheese-layered Martin’s Potato Bread and toast in a skillet until melty and delicious. (Bonus Tip: Learn more about compote and other types of fruit preserves by reading our blog post, How to Make Homemade Jam.) View on Youtube: Looking for additional grilled cheese ideas?
